The Noble Coll. | Schloss Weber

It is a personal connection between our founder and the landlord that brought us to this beautiful location for the first shoot. The house, built in 1889 and neglected for many years, has been lovingly renovated over the years.

The picturesque little village of Bingum, in the far north of Germany, is home to the impressive palace in which we held our first photoshoot. For the founder of Museeum, who grew up on the same road as the Bingum Manor, it’s a special location in which she spent a not inconsiderable portion of her childhood.

Set among centuries-old trees and acres of land, the manor house – along with its large artificial lake – were acquired by its current owners in 1989. The couple had their work cut out, however, as the building was in a state of advanced dilapidation. As a former interior designer, the husband had the right eye for detail and the knowledge required to renovate the manor house back to its former glory: where original elements were missing, he went on the hunt for the right period tiles, and lovingly reconstructed the house’s beautiful fireplace, furnishing the rest of it with antique finds and breathing new life into the building.
